Cheezhead LogoStarting on a Typepad domain in January 2005 (http://cheesman.typepad.com) Cheezhead relaunched as its own brand on March 18, 2006. The blog, written by Joel Cheesman, is an ongoing commentary on the state of Internet recruiting, technology, marketing and search engine marketing.

The blog first made a name for itself by discovering that Yahoo! HotJobs was spidering job content from the Best Blog 2006Web in addition to their usual job postings. Since then, newsworthy items include an eBay auction sending author Cheesman to the 2006 SHRM conference with a sponsor (JobCentral) to the tune of $7,100; posting a video of Jobster's Jason Goldberg calling Monster.com a "crap product" and securing a 2-year sponsorship worth a total of $100,000 with JobCentral.

Cheezhead was awarded Recruiting.com's Best Technology blog in 2005 and won the coveted Best Blog award for 2006. The blog has also been highlighted in BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, AIRS, Fast Company, Crain's Business, Workforce Magazine and Resumes for Dummies.
