Welcome! This is a website that everyone can build together. It's easy!
Cheezhead Wiki |
Version 19 - view current page
Why post a page to this wiki? The most obvious answer is search. The Cheezhead domain is highly trusted in the eyes of Google and other engines. And it should only get better. Done correctly, any page created on this wiki should have a fighting chance of ranking well for the keyphrases and content that's added. If you're a start-up, for example, leveraging this wiki to add your company information should help rank for your top keywords, such as your brand name. Keep in mind that this solution utilized the nofollow attribute, so you won't get much benefit from links going to other Web pages. However, this could change if Wetpaint decides to allow that option.
Additionally, I invite you to sign up for one of the various RSS feeds on the left sidebar. By getting feeds, you'll be able to keep up with new content - companies, start-ups, events, etc. - without coming back to the site. You'll also be able to see how your own pages are being edited, so you can make sure there are no misrepresentations or corrections that need to be made.
Adding to this wiki is free. Add as many pages as you'd like, talking about pretty much anything you want. However, I have set it up so that registered members only can add, edit and comment. Since we're in beta, that may change. No doubt this will be a learning process for everyone who participates. Hopefully it will be rewarding and worth the time and energy.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us directly at info[at]cheezhead.com, or simply leave comments on this site. Wikis are meant to be a place directed by its users, so be creative. Have fun.
