Jason Morris founded employeescreenIQ formerly Background Information Services, Inc in 1999 and serves as Chief Operating Officer and President for the company. Morris is a Licensed Private Investigator in the States of Ohio, New Jersey and Nevada with licenses pending in other states. Morris is also an Expert Witness in the areas of background checks, employment screening and the FCRA.

Morris’ responsibilities include refining employeescreenIQs' position as the pre-employment screening industry leader in best practices and FCRA compliance and to continue to provide its diverse clientele with the support they need to reach their recruitment, retention, safety and financial goals.

Prior to founding employeescreenIQ, Morris served as vice president of operations for a Cleveland, OH-based private investigation company. He has also held management and investigative positions with two other security companies also located in the greater Cleveland area.

Morris is a frequent speaker at industry events that focus on background checks, global screening, recruitment and staffing and often discusses best practice initiatives as they relate to organizational pre-employment screening programs. He was recently included on Cleveland Crain’s Business “40 Under 40 List” for innovation in the workplace and serves as a board member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). Morris was the 2005-2006 Co-Chairman for the organization and will serve the next term as past Co-Chairman & Treasurer. employeescreenIQ is a founding member of NAPBS.

As Co-Chairman of NAPBS Morris made frequent presentations to government agencies including members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. The focus on these presentations were amendments to the FCRA, and various provisions to the forthcoming Privacy Bills and Immigration Reforms. Morris has lobbied on behalf of the screening industry and has consulted with officials from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the US Department of Justice. Morris' comments were published on the US Department of Justice website regarding pending legislation on the Federal Register.

Active in community and philanthropic causes, he is a former board member of Big Brothers/Big Sisters Association of Cleveland and Make a Wish Foundation. In 2006 Morris served as the Revenue Chairman for the March of Dimes. Morris is a criminal justice studies graduate of Kent State University.
