Kari Quaas is the most recent add to the CoolWorks.com team. Previous to Cool Works,Works, she worked in the cruise line industry for 11 years for both Holland America and Princess Cruises. Her first cool job in that industry was as a driver/guide and soon moved up the chain to train others to become driver/guides and recruit them. Back in 1999, she developed the first seasonal recruiting website that Holland America had with Kathi from Cool Works. Trying to find the best ways to find seasonal employees was the task at hand.
At Princess, she started in the safety department and quickly moved into the real HR department doing benefits. This lead to employee relations experience, and back to recruiting and hiring. In order to keep in touch with other seasonal HR folks, she attended multiple conferences for the Seasonal Human Resources Association where she continued to develop her relationship with Bill Berg, the founder of Cool Works. And after the 2006 conference the talks began to join the Cool Works team and the rest is history.
Now as a reformed HR person getting into the e-recruiting biz, she is learning the ways of HTML and Google. Cool Works is the number 1 job board for seasonal jobs and has the goal of connecting folks with jobs in great places (tm).
