Know the Law: Questions an Interviewer Cannot Ask You
All interview questions should be based on the job and the applicant’s professional qualifications. The following is a list of questions interviewers should not be asking:
- How old are you?
- What race are you?
- Are you a minority?
- What is your religion?
- What religious holidays do you observe?
- What is your nationality?
- Do you have any impairments, physical or mental that would affect your ability to perform the job?
- Have you ever been arrested?
- Are you married?
- Would your spouse object if you worked overtime?
- What is your maiden name?
