Seasonal Human Resources Association

Since 1989, human resource managers who work for seasonally operated employers get together for collaborating, networking, continuing education opportunities and FUN, from all over the U.S. The conference location changes annually to let participants experience a new park or resort.

Members of SHRA share a common interest in issues specific to seasonal employment, including recruiting, retention, staffing, training, housing, benefits, recreation, drugs and alcohol abuse, policies and procedures, greening tourism and social media/web 2.0.

Each year the conference changes locations to either get parks' people out of the parks or city folks into the parks. The 20th annual conference for SHRA was held in Portland, Oregon from October 27 - 29, 2008. Check the association's website for more information. You may also email Patty Bishoff at CoolWorks.com for more information - patty@coolworks.com. If you would like to connect with members, join the SHRA social network.

Attendees come from far and wide in the US to attend from national parks, resorts, and other travel and hospitality companies.
