I am writing an article on the ten best and worst interview questions (or the best or worst answers) for 2007 and would love your contributions. I can cite you in the article if you want the publicity or not if you want to stay anonymous. Either way, I would love to hear the questions that you have asked (or been asked) that worked well or caused the wheels to come off the interview.
So far, the best that I have was contributed by Kristen Fife, a recruiter at BSQUARE in Seattle:
"how do you define a smart person"? It's less about what they say than how they view people and can indicate their broad or narrow understanding. "
I love the simplicity of the question and the insight into the candidates perspective on the world.
The worst so far?
Contributed by Rodney Smozyck, Recruiting Manager at TEAM Industrial Services in Houston:
"So the last person in this job was very bad at it. Will you be less as bad or more as bad?"
So, what questions can you contribute?
