Plugg Conference Announces European Start-Up Rally Semi-Finalists
Winner to Be Selected March 19th in Brussels
Brussels, 27 February 2008 - The organizers of the Plugg 2008 Conference, a one- day conference to raise global awareness for European start-ups in the Web / Mobile 2.0 field, recently announced the semi-finalists for its “Plugg Start-Up of the Year Award.”
Plugg’s Start-Ups Rally, a competition for European companies to showcase the most promising young technology ventures, drew 65 exceptional start-ups from 18 countries. The jury, made up of members of Europe’s leading venture capital firms, incubators and renowned internet experts, selected 20 semi-finalists who will pitch the Plugg audience on stage at the event. The semi-finalists, in alphabetical order, are:

12. Radionomy (Belgium)
13. Refresh Mobile – Mippin (UK)

18. Viewdle (US / Ukraine / Luxembourg)
19. Workhound.co.uk (UK)

The finalist will be selected at the Plugg 2008 Conference on Wednesday March 19th at the Hotel Le Plaza in Brussels.
Speakers this year include:
- Mike Butcher, editor of TechCrunch UK / Ireland
- Max Niederhofer, Atlas Ventures
